![]() I'm mostly thinking its a bad idea because it probably would ruin the game for a lot of console players, although this is mostly from the fps standpoint console probably would have trouble in most games that require accuracy in movements, where racing games console could be at a advantage being that can change their speed by not putting as much pressure on the trigger, it is definitely different per game but because valve seems like they are trying it out I mostly made this around fps's. The way this will happen is that when you pop in the disc to your PS3, you link your PlayStation Network account with your Steam account and then the computer versions will. Valve have announced that Portal 2s co-op mode will have cross-platform support, meaning well be able to team up with Playstation 3 and Mac players to take on Glados. ![]() ![]() making it a lot harder also considering that Tf2 is a fast paced game, cross compatibility would make consoles have huge disadvantages and if they get the option to not go cross platform most people who know they are at a disadvantage wouldn't choose it. The reason behind that is the PS3 version of Portal 2 will include a free copy for the PC and Mac, effectively giving you two (or three) copies of the game for one price. Its a clever way of attracting new customers, like when portal 1 was free for a week. But lets face it, its really so you can give it to people who preferably dont have Steam installed yet. It likely would be a option but also remember cross platform fps has been done before, Shadowrun it definitely shown that competitive games with console vs PC are a lot more difficult for xbox than it might look.Īlso if valve start moving their games over to PS3 and 360 for cross platform play, valve do not put aim assist in their games, play tf2 on orange box 360 or ps3 (if tf2 works on ps3 orange box) it doesn't have aim assist and I think its one of the only games on console fps that doesn't have aim assist. Valve have updated the Chamber Editor so it can now make multiplayer chambers.
